The annual School in Theology at Carronvale House, Larbert, opened with a welcome meal followed by John Keddie's paper on Hugh Martin.
Keddie highlighted how Martin, despite significant personal afflictions, was greatly used for the good of the church. His struggles, including mental ill-health, were presented as a timely reminder of human fragility.
